I'm a professional auto technician. I like to do side jobs and work on my own stuff at home. So I need a way to get the stuff home that I use on a regular basis. So I have two tool boxes. My big one that measures 72.75” wide by 47.5” tall by 29” deep.

And my small one that measures 26.75” wide by 37.5” tall by 19.5” deep, with a chest on top of that.

I put the winch inside my van to get the smaller box into my van without needing help from anybody. The winch I got for $50 at Harbor Freight. It’s rated for 2000 lbs. The power wires runs from the battery, through the firewall, under the dash, down the passenger side sill to where you see it mounted.

The wires that run to the winch go up over the headliner. I made studs to mount the electrical from the hand controller with wing nuts to remove it easily. To mount the winch I ran bolts from outside in with nuts securing the bolts to the floor to make studs. Then I secured the winch on the studs with nuts.

Neat! You're now the officially designated support wagon for when a TMer takes on the "one lap of America" :D

When you spend $280 on an air ratchet or $90 on a locking flex head 3/8" drive ratchet, you only want to buy one. The past two years I spent about $6000 a year on tools, because I bought a scan tool and a lab scope. Before that I averaged about $3000 a year. I buy Snap-on mostly. I hate the small amount of Craftsman tools I have at my home. It only takes me about fifteen minutes to load up or unload.

I've had this van for three years and this was one of the first things I did to it. It didn't seem like anybody would be interested in it. Plus now that I have the new i-Mac, loading and posting pictures is such a breeze. Before I'd have to fight with my girlfriends PC and it just wasn't worth it.
