im going to by cheapo ebay adj coil overs for my omni and some one told me to use g1 dsm dampeners or g2 neon ones what are dampeners.....

Probably be pretty bouncy. BTW, those cheap Ebay coilovers are pure sh*t. I had a customer bring me a set to put on his car, I refused.

I had an argument with my father about that. They aren't shock absorbers, the springs absorb the shock, mainly, and the shocks/struts dampen that force. Technically the entire car and anything attached to it absorbs the shock in one way or another.

However, they still aren't shocks. :p
