the '86 glhs fan/fan shroud/fan motor assembly is a unique item.
so too is the '87 glhs assembly and is different than the '86 assembly.

the 86 and 87 glhs fan motors will not interchange. you cannot put an 86 glhs fan motor in a '87 glhs fan shroud and vice versa.

but, you can put the entire 86 assembly from the glhs omni into the 87 glhs charger and vice versa.

the 87 assembly is a superior unit. the 86 assembly is prone to fan retainer clip failures (bye bye radiator) and has a horrible fan blade design.

i saw a glhs rad/fan assembly for sale over at td.com the other day.
