Mitsubishi 2.4 - No spark

Vehicle is a 92 Eagle Summit wagon. I'm troubleshooting for a friend.

They've replaced the coil and the distributor. Still no go. If you ground the blue wire to the coil you get spark. Cranks good, and there is plenty of fuel..

ECM? or is there some other thing to check first...

Well, as far as I know, it either has a coil or a distributor, not both. The small 1.6 and 1.8l engines had distributors and the 2.0l and up had coil packs. Can you tell where the blue wire is from? If you pull the CAS of the side of the head and turn the ignition to 'on' run position, rotate the CAS drive blade slowly. It should fire the plugs and injectors as it is rotated. If the plugs and injectors do not fire try an ECM.
