Frank,

The colored text in the FS is very distracting and to me is not a helpful change.

My .02 :eyebrows:

The colors are to show the different types of parts at a glance... Would Bold Black for the prefixes be better?

I think bold would be sufficient, although it really makes no difference to me either way.

Bold Black text would just make the thread title seem much longer and you wouldn't be able to designate the specific style of part being sold as easily. Mario, what colors are bothering you in particular?

No colors in particular, it just seems too "busy" and a bit too "pastel". IMO I don't see it as an improvement or a tool to look up items any better.

Just some input.

Thanks,
Marion

I don't like the colors either. I guess I don't really think it needs to be catagorized at all.

We are still playing with it. I have change the colors for everything to make the categories/prefixes still be noticed, but not be an eye sore. Give it a whirl.

How are the colors working for everyone now?

I think the titles are cluttering up the for sale, and wanted section. Most people know what kind of parts they have, or want so the title just clutters up the main title of the thread, just my $.02.

I agree, I also had a harder time figuring out which category to put stuff under when I want to sell something. Then if you just go lazy you put everything under general as a catch all and then it starts a trend and no one uses the categories.... Who knows.

Well its a rule that you must use categories. The reason is that you can use the filter at the bottom of the page to only show ads for certain categories.

personally I like it.
If im looking for a specific part, I can filter out all of the stuff that I dont need to look at. Makes finding deals easier.
Just my 1/50th of $1

i dont like that it pushes the titles out at different lengths.... makes them hard to read down in a row. needs some "tabbing" or something like that so the prefix is in one column and the description is in another.

You know, thats exactly what I don't like about it. I could deal with it if it was all the same length.

One of the things I am doing tonight which I didnt explain to the mods is to make it small and move it under the title of the thread. It requires an hour of my time and code changes that I wont have time to make till tonight.
