I've gotten sick of oil in my air box and tried the aluminum two exit valve cover and that didn't work. So I built the catch can and put my turbo valve cover back on. It works pretty we'll and I only have a hint of oil in my air box and the top of my transmission is clean. I spent under $30 if you don't count the first one I made. It's two in" (sorry Canadians) pvc pipe. The brass fittings are 3/8" N.P.T, the barbs with the orange hose are 5/8", and the barb going to the pcv is 1/2". Inside I have coarse steel wool with some metal screen holding it in place. There are three screws holding the top screen in place and three screws holding the bottom screen in place. The reason the bracket is notched for the screws is because it was hitting the hood and I didn't want to drill more holes in my fire wall. I was going to have it drain back in the valve cover because I wanted something maintenance free, but I'm glad I didn't. In the three months I've had it, I've drained it twice and both times got only yellow water. The reason there's water dripping off everything is I just cleaned my engine.

Nicely done. Stepping it out from the firewall is a good idea, hard to find a place flush on the wall, so step it out. Nice work in making the bracket too.

Where is the PCV valve or check valve of the line coming from the intake manifold? You need that to stop the HUGE boost leak you are going to have.

It's in the black hose going up to the top of the catch can. Look at the last picture. Close to the valve cover with the hose clamp.

The PCV valve is from a Toyota 22RE engine. The red hose on top of the c.c. goes to the air box. The red hose on the bottom of the c.c. goes to the valve cover. The black hose goes to the PCV then the intake. This mod was done before the vacuum pump mod.

That would look like s**t. I want people to look under my hood and say, "nice."

Yea, my best friend had a 476 whp Neon R/T and it was hilarious when people would want to look under his to see what powered the car that they just got waxed by.....all the aluminum had surface corrosion, there were vacuum lines running everywhere, he got rid of his super nice intake and we made a ghetto one out of that "Dryer"(like washer and dryer) flex hose...lol. And best of all he had 2 fanta bottles hidden out of plain sight...one for overflow and one for blow-by.... he said they were originally for a temporary road trip, but due to lack of funds and motivation he never changed them out. So then they gained some form of sentimental value...lol. Watching peoples faces after they got waxed by that car was priceless....this was before all the SRT's and neon's were still considered girl cars....lol

That's retarded. What reason would you ever have to use a naked juice bottle?

That bracket looks familiar. ZJ or BR accumulator bracket?

Nice install, I like it.

No and no. I made it myself from some 1/8" aluminum stock I got from ACE and bent it in a vise.

You have to make sacrifices for performance :eyebrows:. I took it out to make room. It doesn't rain or snow here so I really don't need it. If I still lived in the north east I'd still have it.

Rosie is referring to my evac/vacuum pump in the picture below. The pictures of the red engine were taken before I installed the evac pump.

insert vacuum pump joke here........:drum:

After the pcv aiding in blowing out a bunch of seals on the mad max, my next motor will have the extra help from anything I can squeeze in there. I don't like our pcv valves anyway. My A.J. inspired set up will be using a WRX pcv valve.
