OVC Kartapalooza 2008!!!

Mmmkay, time for the big event of the Winter, the OVC indoor Go Kart smackdown, Kartapalooza 2008.

Where: Competition Racing, Lawrenceburg, Indiana - just west of Cincinnati.
Near the Argosy Casino.

When: Saturday, February 9th. I think - need imput as to this being a good date - It's the week after the Superbowl, so I *think* it's good.

Why: Because it's a blast, an indoor road course, speeds up to 35mph 2 inches off the ground. And LAP TIMERS, so no BS about who's faster!! :number1:

Karting in the afternoon, then usually a party at an undisclosed OVC safehouse afterwards - beer, benchracing, and serious BS... :rockon:

Feb. 23rd is when the photographer for Mopar Enthusiast Magazine is coming to shoot my car. Right now there is no pistons in the car, no head, and a chorme-moly rear end hanging off the back with cable ties about 50% complete. I'm going to be very busy!

I'd be happy to oblige you, Tim but she lives 30 miles away and I work 3rd shift while she works days so about the only time we see each other is on weekends and there isn't a chance between now and this weekend. I started seeing her just before Turbopalooza so dropping that bomb on her would have been too much too soon! (I know you guys!) You might have to take Nate's (88pacifica) word for it. He and his wife live just down the street from her. I've already begun work on easing her into coming along down for Spring Fling, whenever we get that set up.

I myself had originally intended on going and was all planned out to, but in light of recent events over the last few months, I think that would not be a wise idea. Instead, I have to get the TD running long enough to sell it to some kid and that is what's taking up the majority of my time lately. I also have to go car shopping and get another DD too, so I have to make the priorities come first. I hope to be at the next major event though, so we'll just have to see what happens!

I did bring a guy with me who was faster than Nathan....... but he was a ringer. Hes raced go-carts as a kid, and currently races dirt oval track ;) He was 3rd quickest for the day, with 1st and 2nd going to two local guys who must live there.
