With it being 110 degree F + in AZ in the summer time, I didn't like the fact that half my oil cooler and a quarter of my intercooler was covered by my bumper cover. So looking at the '91-'95 van with the small grilles and the holes in the bumper cover got me thinking, why not in my van? I don't know if if it actually made a difference but it couldn't have hurt. I'm waiting to make a trip prairie dog hunting pulling the mountains up north to see if it helps. Here is the results:

Am I crazy, or is your intercooler made of GM AC evaporator cores?

There was actually a TSB out for the 3.0s with premium bumper due to breathing issues. The kit had revised parts and template to hack stuff out. Hence I guess redesign in the 2nd gens.

Your crazy. It's out of a late 80's Toyota Supra. I had the elbows cut off and welded back on to fit my need.

Supra, thats cool. It does seem to be a similar assembly method that GM uses on their AC cores.
