I found 3 in my SL. Just wondering if the passenger mat is a long mat or another small mat?

As of now it looks like I have drivers side, and two rears, leaving me needing a passenger as far as I can tell.

So, post up if you have pictures :) After mine dry off from cleaning I'll post the pictures, the drivers is beat a bit, but it'll do.

Also PM me if you have a spare you want to sell, I'll take any one, but Passenger is preferred.

Also I don't know if there are multiple types, but the ones I have are just gray and have the word "Shelby" in black stitching.... Pictures to come.

It was a drivers side one on ebay - it sold for $76. Good luck finding just one - they're pretty tough to come by.

Yeah I'm not gonna get my hopes up, just wanted to confirm what I figured they were. When I got the car I only thought 1 was in there, the other 2 were covered in crap.

Thanks for all the input.

That floormat on eBay didn't sell the first time around and the guy relisted it. Too bad you didn't snag it that first time around. Either way, be thankful you have the ones you do have! You can always go to an upholstery shop to copy the stitching of the one you do have. That' what I will be doing with the front floormats in my CSX. Write Dave Lucidi and he can get high vector pics of the stitching on your floormats so an upholsterer can use them to create a pattern.

I am pretty sure those are CSXT floor mats. Yes pretty hard to find but if I recall 1 is still avail from dodge and is around $100. Think it was the RR.

Those are for a Shelby Lancer. 99.9% sure on that. I'm sure you could have ordered them for a CSX-T though, but I believe those came with the ones that 89s did?

MATS, Shelby CSX-T "Thrifty"
4467890 charcoal, wblack Shelby Logo (Front Right)
4467891 charcoal, wblack Shelby Logo (Front Left)
4467892 charcoal, wblack Shelby Logo (rear)

Straight from the 1988 parts book under P body carpet. No Shelby floor mats listed in 87 parts book under H, P, or L body. The 1987 Shelby Lancer press book just says "floor mats front and rear." The 89 CSX floor mats actually had the CS logo on them in blue. If I remember right they are listed as quartz (shelby logo) in the 89 parts book with different part numbers. On the back of CSX-T floor mats is the original part numbers which are 4507401, 4410408, 4410403. These part numbers were changed to the ones at the top which are listed in the current parts book. Called the dealership today and all were NS1. There should also be a date stamp on the back as well. mcsvt flip yours over and check the date stamp. If anyone has some floormats they "know for a fact" came on thier lancer we'd love to hear from you.

I'd love to have a set of these in black with red lettering. I can't find anything in the stores at all that I like. The prices are cheap and so are the mats. They have way too few spikes that are small and weak and don't hold the mat into place. I guess I'm just going to have to keep junk yard'ing it.

Not Shelby, and not perfect, but a nice score for $1.05 each.

I found a near perfect set of those in a car last winter. Too bad we can't even find more of those these days.

How'd you get a $1.05 charge for those? hahaha Seems odd to have a nickel added on, unless you have to pay tax on it maybe?

The chain called "Pull-a-part" just has standard charges. I guess the rare floor mat is worth a buck o'five to them.

Now I need to figure out how to make gray black and black red so they'll match my car. I'll likely spend more getting them to match by 20 or 30 times than I did to actually get the mats themselves. But the factory mats are so much nicer than any of the after market mats I've seen that they didn't want my first born child in trade for.

I had a nice set of mats from an 88 Lancer Shelby, maybe I can get the current owner to take some picks of them.

Those are the floormats from an 89 CSX. Check the date code and part number from the back. Could you post or PM which part number those ones are stamped with? I know it is diff. from what the parts book say.

Yeah they were offered beginning in 89 IIRC which is why I assume those darker gray ones with the black SHELBY going vertically up the sides were offered in 87. They're with my other CSX parts and I don't have time currently to get over that way with two jobs but can tell you it is different and specific for these floormats.

Most every interior piece has a wierd part number stamped on it. Almost none of them can even be traced which is why I ask. Also don't forget to check the date stamps.

I never updated this thread once I checked the numbers on the back. Here are the numbers on the front driver mat.

Are these:

the same as these:

or is the color of the lettering different?

Gary's has a darker grey lettering, and the PS one of Josh's looks like blue lettering?

Guys,

I talked with a few different friends about this very project.... Mine started with the CSX-T having a hole in the carpet where the dead pedal would normally be. A friend sells carpet for Mopar muscle cars I asked him if they could get the grey 87-88 carpet... I was told to bring me him a sample.... So at Carlisle we matched the color to the interior and by the Mopar Nats I had new carpet! It looks pretty good but I haven't put it in yet since my back has been killing me lately.... $120 for the carpet

This is where the floor mat story starts.... I asked my friend if I can get some of the raw materail and he said sure.... It will be a few weeks before I get it. 5-6 weeks at least cause it goes in with his normal stock order.

I don't know if you guys saw the GL members SDAC shirts that are embroidered? Well those are from a guy I work with.... I took him a CSX-T mat and said scan it to see if he could make it.... He told me "no problem"....

That's where I'm at with this project....

Will do...but it might be awhile..... I'm sure we'll shoot some samples of the Logo first so I should be able to show those soon..... BTW, he asked me if I want to change the color or multicolor.... hum...the idea's are flowing....

I hate to be the party pooper here, but if you plan on selling them, you may want to contact Shelby Licensing for permission to use the trademarks. If not that could be considered infringement and that's a hefty fine.

i dont think it is or else positive impressions wouldnt be in business???

tim, thats awesome, i know dsc was going to have some mats made and i need some "spirit" mats

This is what I PMed GLHT Omni and Dodgeshadowchik a while back on the subject of new floor mats:

"..... Keep in mind they probably will need a vector file of what you want embroidered into the mat along with the mats out of your car to use as templetes. I have no idea what the cost will be."

Guys,

I was just going to try it for me...... I wouldn't be able to sell them.... unless I got permission or sold them through Dave.... Let not get ahead of ourselves... We need to try it first..... I'm not sure how it would be looked at... restoration of original flootmats? hum.... It's not a repop thing?

I have these floormats in my 87 SC. I have the receipt from Shelby Performance, Whittier. All it says is '7604 '88 Style Floormat Set', $65. They seem to fit just fine, but mine are in worse shape than yours.
