I had to change the valve cover gasket on my Fiance's Sentra...I did a gasket swap, no biggie, but I found out that the spark plug tube seals are non-serviceable and the whole valve cover has to be replaced....$150 from the dealer....and this sucks because oil is leaking into the tubes.
I replaced the outer gasket and the little rectangle gasket inside, got it back together and all was good until I got it onto the interstate. Now the friggin' top end clacks and knocks and sound horrible.
It's also burning oil out of the exhaust and there is some smoke coming from the PVC valve hole in the valve cover.
I have no idea what the heck went wrong here....it's just a damn valve cover gasket change!
