My idea of a perfect Cummins Ram is a mid 80's 4 door D-350 dually with a 24 valve Cummins/5-speed swap.

I drove an '05 Cummins ram. It was pretty much a base model, short box, basic cab, small tires, automatic.. But it was a Cummins..It was a BLAST to drive, I swear it accellerated like my Daytona.. Got to get me one of those! :)

Ive been helping a lady friend move. She has a crewcab cummins turbo. I get to drive anytime I'm helping (because she's not comfortable towing). Absolutley love it, though shifts seem a little odd. Maybe I'm just not used to a diesel.

Wow.. Anything new on them that's not top secret? I noticed the '06's seem to idle a million times quieter.. That's awesome..

I will have to agree with Kevin. I always wanted the 85 4door with the 24 valve Cummins stick and painted black on top and red on the bottom. ALthough I harness the power of a Dodge built V10 and it is amazing.

Yeah, Ive got a soft spot for 80s Rams. Ideally I would like a 92 or 93 Ram, 4 door, w/ a 24V cummins. Basically Moparboys white Ram, with a diesel!

I like the old body style, with the updated interior.

on another note, a good friend of mine just bought an 05 quad cab short bed Ram w/ diesel. *sweet*. But Im still in love with Reeves truck and that rumble!

Yeah, his newer one is sweet to drive, I've been Designated Dork on a coupla party nights, amazing how something that big can get up and move, and how well it sticks around the corners with those big mudder tires...oops, did I just type that out loud...maybe I should shut up if I ever want to be DD again...:D

In my next life, I will drop a 24V Cummins in the Wrangler... 700+ ft/lbs of torque in a 3,000 lb vehicle! :eyebrows:

I've seen one at the dealer....... looks like there is a TON of room in the back seat. The truck is 300' long and I don't have to sit in the back:D

Anywho, I have owned an 89, 100k miles, had to sell it for two reasons.
1. I couldn't take the harsh ride anymore, (I think that this is the reason that my back is shot)
2. I needed money for the 95 Ram I ordered.

The 95 Ram, 190k, ran great and still runs good for the new owner. Had to sell that one for the 05 I own now. I got one of the last "good" 6 speeds (nv5600) and I love this thing. 4 doors, QUIET and the ride is awesome!!
I even added a Quadzilla Exzilerator race box to make things more fun. What a quick and easy way to make more power. I also like the fact that the truck is QUIET. Compared to the other trucks, this one is the best IMHO.
Oh did I mention that this thing is QUIET:D

Guy that used to be at work had a 97 Double Cab, Long Box, Canopy, Lifted on 33s, and tuned out a bit. He dyno'd it at his tire shop and had about 780lb-ft at the rear wheels. He was known for towing a hot tub and a trailer full of about 15 kegs of beer in it.

Nice truck though, gotta be my pick.
