99 Nissane Maxima GLE

We have ourselves a new family car. 99 Nissane Maxima GLE. Kind of like it. Gas mileage sucks huge!! Going to update some sensors in the hopes that will help. Thinking of modding it a little. Not sure what yet though.

Any Nissian guys out there?

Ya, my wife & I have had 4 Max's now, good cars, great engines. I have a '98 GLE now & she drives an '03 Altima 3.5 SE which is lots of fun. As for gas mileage, I usually get about 21mpg city which includes a bit of hwy. It's funny, the Altima gets better mileage & it has 60 more HP :thumb: Never bothered modifing them, except for a drop in K&N & I did lower my wife's '98 Max SE that she use to have, looked nice but the ride was so so. On her Alti, I installed HID's which look great, but thats it. I have enough with my Charger so I try to keep the daily drivers stock, try, but it's hard :D

Kind of makes you wonder what they did with the Maximas to give them shitty mileage. Wife's 94 Cutlass SL 3.1L got way better mileage... To bad that it died and we did not want to bring it back.

I am on that forum too. Lots of good info on there. Seems to be a bolt on crowd??
