97 Neon ACR coilsprings to SRT??

Anyone tell me if the gen 1 ACR coil springs will interchange w/ the SRT/ gen 2 cars? thanks. I have a set that I removed when switching to Eibachs- back in the day.

I think they interchange but will lower the newer cars due to different spirng perch locations. Can't remember where I read that as I'm still pretty new to the neons and haven't messed with them too much other than keeping my daily driver alive.

If you put 1st gen springs on a regular 2nd gen Neon, it will lower it. However, SRT-4's have higher spring perches and shorter springs than other 2nd gen neons... so putting on 1st gen Neon springs will not lower it much if at all. Your 1st gen Neon springs will also be softer than the SRT-4 springs... so you will most likely bottom out the struts and be replacing them soon.

Mopar sells lowering springs for the SRT-4. They lower it an about inch in front, a little more in the rear, and from what I hear, they offer a ride that is very close to stock.
