Bilstein or Rancho?

I need to put new shocks/struts on my dads 05 Trailblazer. He has the base one so its really softly sprung. I have 2 choices, heavy duty Bilsteins with a sport/stiffer valving or RSX Rancho's. I have never liked the OE Bilsteins but have never tried aftermarket units. I have used alot of Rancho in the past and really like there product lines.

when ever a GM comes in to get an oil change i notice those bilsteins are blown out and pretty crappy looking, even for the low mileaged ones. and the ford f-150's w/stock ranchos seem much better
