looking to buy a 07 or 08 gm/chevy 250 van with the d-max 6.6l
?'s
1. mpg (approx real) with 2K # load no trailer
2. mpg(approx real) with 2K # load with 5K# trailer
3. cost with a MSRP = $33,130 ? 25K, 26K, 27, etc.
we are retired and have a 24' motorhome (gas) that when towing our 97 pu (total load 5K #) is getting 7 to 8 mpg. if we go with a new van for travel need to get better mpg as we would travel with and with out a trailer.
the mpg with NO trailer is the big ? if that is low 14 to 16 we would stay with a gas van (new) and the motorhome combo

This is a turbo Mopar site, your better off going here-

The DieselPlace.com (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/index.php)

Moved to the other vehicles section. Like Simon mentioned, with this forum being dedicated to turbo Mopar products it's not likely you'll get much info on a GMC van here. It sounds to me like a GMC dealer would probably be the first place to go, they should know their vehicle's mileage and MSRP better than anybody.

The dealers are the worst for info, :(

When a duracrap makes it off the lot and home without blowing the headgasket it's a miracle. Similar can be said about powerjokes, blowing up turbo's and bursting injectors which dump tons of raw fuel into the combustion chamber and washing down the cylinder is cool :thumb:
