I've decided to sell my GLH. As much as I want to finish, its up for sale. Its for sale for personal reasons. Here's the scoop:

1986 GLH Turbo - rust-free South Dakota car, repainted the original color at the shop I manage. This is a nice quality paint job. Everything was removed to paint, nothing taped. I clear-coated the body of the hood and the engine bay. The car had no body damage other than dings, dents, and prior hack repair to the right fender. I bought a brand new fender from the dealer for it. The front air dam and side skirts have also been painted. I smoothed the hatch so there is no wiper or third brake light. I removed the back window for the paint. It hasn't been wet-sanded yet. I paid $1750 for this.

The interior is all new. I had a custom seat covers made - tan suede and dark brown vinyl. It looks nice. The door trim panels are brand new with matching a custom design. The headliner material is new as well. All the hard plastic trim has been painted to match. The carpet is brand new. I bought the better stuff with the backing on it. I paid $1600 for this.

The engine is a 2.4 SRT motor out of a 2005 SRT-4. It has 15K miles on it. I have found and modified the necessay brackets to install a power steering pump on the back and an alt on the front. They are painted. I've powder-coating the valve cover and intake manifold with black-wrinkle. I paid $1600 for this.

The transmission is a rebuilt 568 from Cliff Ramsdell. It has the OBX diff in it as well. I paid $1440.00 for this.

I just removed the rear trailing axle to have it powder-coated. Its done now and I will be reinstalling it this weekend. The rear brakes are front a 90 Shelby Daytona. Powder-coated is the brake hardware. The rotors are new vented pieces.

The car has 3 inch exhaust and cat. I have a Super 60 engine harness in it now.

The car needs to be assembled. I have a lot of nice parts that go with the car to help complete it. The buyer will need to buy: a clutch, engine computer, injectors, intercooler and necessary piping, fuel pump, and install it all.

The car is just west of Minneapolis, MN.
Most of you will think I'm crazy, but I'm asking $5000. I feel it is worth every penny. So much of the work is done already. There's more that I could list that goes with, but if you're not a serious buyer based on what I have listed, the rest of the list won't interest you.

I have pictures of the car in process of body work and paint. I have some pics of the SRT engine and the interior installed. I will get better ones this weekend. Please only ask for pictures if you're really interested. You can PM me or call me. 763-350-5844 is my cell. Leave a message if I don't answer. I will call you back. I can help with delivery. No trades please.

Aw C'mon Jesse, you were 'gone' for years and then we were glad to have you 'back' again.:) I wanted to see you finish this car, it's got a great start:thumb: Shelve it for a while if you have to, then get back to it after you work out the personal stuff. My projects didn't get driven or even a wrench turned in the first 2-2 1/2 years after my daughter was born.

It always seems like the easiest thing to do when times get tough is sell off the projects, I've been there a few times for sure. Thing is, the few grand they bring at the time costs WAAAY more to replace later on  Plus, working on the projects a bit can be good therapy for whatever is going on;)

Glad you're holding on to it:clap: Take time away from wrenching if need be, it'll be there for you when you are ready:)

True that.....for sure. Wrenching on my rides is like....well...it's like 'zen and the art of TD's'.

And what are the rates? Do you charge by the hour for said therapy or by the project? :D

I know. Luckily (:confused2: ?) I have another road trip's worth of bugs to wash off tomorrow since I didn't get to it today. Yes and no....kind of on hold at the moment and with my no $/no job situation I'm not going to push anything :mecry:

Sounds good, I'll get the spare room cleaned up :D. You don't want to stay with someone that talks about himself in the third person, they make documentaries about guys like that ;)

PS: Jessie glad your keeping the GLH, if you still need parts for it let me know, I lost track of what you needed. Holy crap did this thread get off topic

Right now, I need the parking brakes for the rear of my car. I'm have the rear disc from a 90 Shelby VNT Daytona. When I parted that car out, it only had the right side on it. I'd like to have a set that is clean and complete. What do you have?
