Heard of one and was wondering if there are any others out there. I hate to write down what i heard in case its totally untrue. If it is possibly true, then maybe this cat can't come out of the bag just yet??

A decision has been made as to where.

Location will be released in the next newsletter (to be published shortly) and has been posted in an SDAC member only area - however we've asked members to keep this info amongst themselves for their own benefit.

Once the newsletters have been published we'll make a public announcement soon thereafter. Dates will remain consistent with past events.

There is info on the where and when in the SDAC-Members section.

Johnny, if your membership to SDAC is current here are instructions on how to access that section: http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11227

Overlord, If you give me $30 I'll tell you all the details ;)

Thanks Dave!

What a deal, $30 to find out where SDAC 18 will be and they get an SDAC membership to boot!

I am still working on the latest newsletter, but it is going slower than I would like. The full release will be in that issue. I was hoping to have the newsletter in your mailboxes by Christmas but it is not looking good right now. This issue was actually planned for September, so I am way behind once again. Sorry.

Hey guys

I am new to this forum and I just think keeping the meet site a big question mark to non SDAC members is very odd. I just bought a Shelby Charger. My very first Turbo Dodge! I had two Laser turbo XE's and a Dodge Charger 2.2. Anyways I also like Bricklins and I am President of Bricklin International; bricklin.org (great website). I also have a Javelin, but don't hold it against me!

We really push our meet to all Bricklin owners because we believe that if a non Bricklin member comes to the meet he will join! Plus we like to have as big as meet as possible. So every car is important.
More participants means more excitement, parts and of course cars.

So I was very curious as to where the SDAC meet would be? I may want to check it out. But keeping a secert makes that kinda impossible without joining the club. So is this an exclusive clique thing?

I did go to the Mopar Nats last year but did not stop by your booth, I will next time. I just wanted to understand the reasoining behind your secrecy.

After all the SDAC members are notified then everyone else is notified. Not all members are on the web so we wait until after the newsletter goes out.

I strongly urge everyone to attend even if you don't know anyone. I went in 2005 and I did not know anyone. I had such a great time I went last year and I am planning on going this year as well.

I LOVE Brickin's, is that your yellow one?
I know of a blue one here in my town that is for sale.

I think an autocross is better because everyone can do it. Even the trailer queens. Not as likely to damage your car in an autocross.

Besides, a road course playday would make me want to bring my 86 GLHS and I couldn't afford to tow it there and back. Would be fun though!!

I do not "need" any more cars :)

I hope you do come to the SDAC meet, I've gone to a couple, great fun. I plan on going to this years. Being 20 miles from the Pacific ocean, no matter were it is east of the Rockies, it's a long drive from here.

Mr Bricklin,

I understand your point of view and am glad you respect our policy of notifying our membership first. We are running a little behind in getting our newsletter out and I apologize to everyone for that. It will be public knowledge very soon.

Our convention is traditionally held beginning the weekend after Father's Day and I think they are posted somewhere in this thread. I certainly hope to see you at SDAC18 and please track me down. you dont need a passport to go to the states here in Ontario....cross the bridge frequently, it just makes things easier for if you do! The mandatory passport date got pushed back, to july or august i believe.

Barrry is usually on top of listing all the details you asked for above in the event registration packages.

I'll have my digital projector there, possibly the screen too. White car trailers make for nice movie screens. So do semi trailers (SDAC-14). I don't have any X-box stuff but will have movies and a laptop.

We are considering a dyno day for Saturday June 21. Advanced Chassis Dyno (formerly PowerCurve) is the dyno shop we prefer.

If we have it, it will be by pre-paid pre-registered only. We would need 8-10 people to do it. If we don't get that many to sign up for it, the money will be refunded. If we get that many to sign up but folks don't show, those folks lose their money as we will still give it to the dyno shop.

We will do it this way because twice in the past folks have asked us to hold dyno days, which we have. The last time, the shop opened on a Saturday just for us and then nobody showed up to have their car tested. So now, payment is in advance. If we hold a dyno day, details will be in the pre-registration info.

For the latest info we have available please read this thread.
http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23376

The above linked thread will be the only place we release dates, hotel, sites, schedule, etc info.

The thread in the main SDAC forum titled "The OFFICIAL ...." will be left open for general discussion.

Please do no start other SDAC-18 threads.

As we get closer to the event (late May early June we may start a "caravan" or "room with" thread).

Thanks,
