View Full Version : Erratic charging when cold

hey guys, got a '90 lebaron 2.5 turbo and when it's cold outside the voltage will jump around within about 4 volts +/- of normal. i have replaced the alternator and the battery, as well as the SBEC and it still does it. i cant figure it out, any ideas?

sure its no the gauge? Check it with a dmm to confirm.

not the guage, all the lights in the car (and headlights) get brighter/dimmer with the guage.

batt terminals ok? Could be using defrost and the AC compressor is kicking on.

terminals are new and the a/c is unplugged :thumb:
