Can the install be done with gb in the car?

It would be tough, but doable I guess. Mainly do to the lack of space.

I installed mine with the tranny in the car

I would use a jack under the trans, undo the tranny mount and lower it down, should give you ample room, ;)

Yeah, I put a moly plate in my Rampage a couple months ago and it was really easy to install with the transmission still in the car... If it can be done in a L-body no problem, then i cant see it being harder in any other TD. Just jack the car up and remove the wheel and you should have lots of room to work there. If it's an 1989 transmission that your putting the moly plate in, then i'd recommend an impact gun to remove the nut that holds 5th gear on the input shaft... I can immagine it would be a PITA to remove without one.

Hope this helps

That nut did not budge whatsoever for me with an large 1/2 drive impact! I used a big breaker bar and I think it was a 1 1/16'' wrench to hold the flange the nut is on. Might have been 1 1/8'' wrench I forget.

Hi,

Are we good on the moly plate for my 555? Are you shipping it this week? I have a tranny shop lined up to do a rebuild.

Thanks,

Marion

Hey Marion,

Your moly plate was shipped yesterday. You should have it by Monday or Tuesday. It was sent USPS Priority Mail. I'll send you an email with your delivery confirmation.

Thanks!

Everyone else - it appears that there is some sort of subscription problem with my Turbo-Mopar account at the moment. Please bear with me until I work through this with Frank.

In the meantime, please use omnipotentparts@yahoo.com.

Thanks!
