Stray wire in SBEC harness?

I was cleaning up under the hood of my 92 IROC R/T and noticed a single wire (looks to be brown/white but really faded) that is poking out of the main engine harness about 3 inches back from the large SBEC connector. It has a small black push on connector (for attaching to a flat blade style terminal) attached to the end but doesnt appear to connect anywhere. It looks like it was taped back at the factory. Since the wire colors are faded i cant reference it in the FSM. Without cutting back my harness does anyone have any idea what this might be? I was thinking maybe it was for a temperature sensor for an overhead console or something? My car doesnt have the overhead console.
