When converting from a dual pump system (ie. 1985 MY) to the single fuel pump - what all is required? The idea is to purchase a 255 l/hr Walbro pump, but does it come with everything needed to convert from dual to single? I know I'll need to remove the inline fuel pump, but is there extra fuel line included for this? The pumps I've noticed say 85 and up, but I don't see anything mentioning dual to single.

Also is it over kill to just go with the 255 l/hr rather then get the 190 l/hr?

I've been outta working on these TD"s for 8 yrs now, and am picking up a car this weekend as my new project. Never had an 85' with dual fuel pumps. It needs a fuel pump, hence the questions...

Anyone have any thoughts?

The replacement pump won't come with parts to replace the inline pump, just intank. Not 100% sure if the 255's fit the hanger, I guess the vendors know for sure. You simply put some hose in place of the inline pump and your golden. Use high pressure fuel line, not regular fuel line, its not rated high enough.
