SMEC swap into a Merkur XR4TI

As the title says I am swapping a SMEC into my Merkur. Is there a model or year car whose wiring harness might make this swap a little easier. Also where can I get a smec socketed with a flash adapter.

For all of those questions, you need to get in touch with xratiracer (Jason Richardson) on here or on TD.com. He's both converted his Merkur to SMEC, and he builds a very nice flash module for the SMEC's (I use one in my Daytona). I don't think he visits here often, though.
