Here's a few pics of my other car. 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged. Right now I just have a Stage II and K&N with an airbox mod. I know you SRT owners will disagree but these cars are way underrated. The powerband in this car is incredible, it just keeps pulling. I still love to drive my Shelby, but this is definitely quicker.

I like those cars except for the wing. I think they are very nice looking cars. I think I'd rather have a turbocharged Ecotec, but the Saturn Sky is WAY out of my price range and not very practical.

Everybody on my local forum makes more fun of them than they do the SRT-4. If it ain't a WRX or an EVO, it's junk to them. I bet the supercharged Ecotec makes it a great driver.

I thought the new cobalt SSs were also turbo? They completely got away from the supercharger.

Didn't think they had an SS this year. The 2.0L ecotek turbo 4 is a good engine... Have it in my wife's solstice. It would be the perect engine for a cobalt. Weighs less than the solstice's 3100lbs and rated at 260/260. Solstice stock is 14.0 @ 99 by the mags... Wife said NO dragstrip for her car!!!

I believe they still have the SS option, just not the supercharged SS. Those are really cool cars, I like it better than the Ion Redline (just because of that stupid central mounted guage cluster). Good luck with it!

you gotta do some more convincing then ken! :)

yeah they have a peakier powerband than our cars and the SRT so they usually have a higher MPH and a higher ET.

I'll be home tomorrow (Sun) until around 1pm. I gave you my address. Your right they did drop the SS badge for 08, and the S/C motor, it is now the Cobalt Sport, which comes with the 2.4L. There's some rumblings of a Turbo 2.0, but nothing set in stone yet. The Turbo would be nice, because you can adjust the boost abit. With the SC it's kind limited as to the mods you can do, with out voiding the warranty anyway. I like it though, and the wing is too big, I can't see a dam thing out my rear window. Still a big SRT-4 fan though. I'd have bought one if they hadn't of stopped making them. I like to buy new. Thanks for not jumping on me for driving a Chev!!!!

The Cobalt SS is a nice car. I was able to drive one on a SCCA type course. It turned in nicely for a FWD car. I think it needs a little bit more stability in the rear but for a DD the car would be awesome. BTW I love the power delivery of a Supercharger. They say that the Eaton 112 in my Mustang runs out of breath after 6000 but I really can't tell. I enjoy the 400+ ft-lbs of rwd torque under 2000 rpm on the Highway since I don't have to shift out of 6th to pass quickly. The 3.8 Supercharged GM cars have sparked my interest lately and if I need a new DD someday I may have to buy one.

That's no fun but killer choice on a 2 seater. There's a guy over by my work that has a GXP version and it move out pretty well. I believe the 2.0 turbo is going into the HHR here soon. Sadly I like the looks of the PT and HHR better than the new Caliber.

The Pontiac 3800 SC is a better choice.. Mine's run a 13.8 with minimal mods.. consistantly 14.1's -14.2's... Not bad for a 3800lb 4 door.

I like the 1997-on buick regal gs. It would be great to find one that older person owned with low miles. 15.0 stock and a supercharger that is good to 400+ hp. Pretty sweet if you ask me. A 13 second roomy sedan would be awesome to have with minimal mods.

I have to get rid of a car even though that's probably a killer deal. Still I enjoy what I have. If that changes then maybe a Supercharged GM in the future.
