How many people are having running air-cond in their R/T's ?

Both of my R/Ts have the AC removed.

Both of mine still have it.

I will be getting mine to work, since the parts are there.

Mine leaks about a can of R-12 a year, so it's getting converted to R-134a this year and will be put back into service.

Mine has been conveted to R-134A for a couple years. I fought leaks in it for a long time. Sniffed it, used dye, changed gaskets, basically tried every thing, then I took it to a Radiator Shop to get it re-charged and the found that a bolt in the compressor was loose and letting it leak. They tightened it and it has been running good for two years now. :thumb:

I just recently retrofitted my R/T to R-134a. Replaced all the gaskets and O-rings as well as the filter/drier. Cleaned all the lines and condenser. Then evacuated and recharged. Been working fine for a few months now. Just had some seepage around the high pressure discharge valve. Tightened it up and no problems now. Blows COLD.

Mine doesn't work. I have gapping holes in my A/C hoses. I still have it all installed, mostly to preserve factory-like underhood appearance. I do run a a non-A/C belt though.

I need to do an equipment restoration and R134a conversion.

I just "converted" my R/T to R134a today. The R12 used to leak about a can a year, but it hadn't been filled in a few years so I replaced the dryer/accumulator and replaced the oil in the compressor so I could charge the system with R134a. I couldn't find any significant leaks, but it looked like there had been some seepage around the high pressure relief valve and the high pressure switch. If the system leaks down again, I plan on replacing the o-rings in those sensors/valves.

Switched mine over to R134a several years ago. I even bought new Mopar lines. Recently drained the system to install the new FMIC but retained the stock condenser. It works great! You can hang meat in the passenger compartment! Going fast in the comfort of A/C rules! :thumb:

When I bought mine, it didnt have AC. I have bought the parts and had them rebuilt and installed them. But it doest last more than a day before it blows a seal, so I am trying to work out all the bugs.

I am contemplating my ac lines as well. I will never use them.

I am however keeping the heat. it makes a difference when using it for cool downs.

How much for the lines if you want to sell them?

Flexta,
None of the guys on here want to hear about your hanging meat :drum:

(You know, it just occurred to me that the drum emoticon looks a lot like the Phonics Monkey)
