The time has come for me to part with my Shelby Charger. It was supposed to be a father-son project, but my dad is now disabled and we have lost interest. The details are as follows:
-1986 Shelby Charger
-118k miles
-Garnett Red, silver stripes
-Factory no a/c
The car ran strong, despite having a hacked up wiring harness. I drove the car for a couple weeks before a vac. line to the FPR came off and I proceeded to melt a piston. Other than that, the car is fine. The body is really straight. There are two small dents which you can see in the pictures. They were there when I got the car, so their origin is unknown. The car is rust free, except for a small rust spot under the carpet near the pedals. As you can see though, the paint is shot. The interior is untouched since I got the car and is in good shape except for the missing headliner. The board is still in there, but there is no fabric on it. Along with the car goes an 86 T1 engine out of a New Yorker. The donor car had 77k miles on it when a tree fell on it during a storm. The engine has a rebuilt head and a rebuilt garret turbo. It also has an automatic trans and axles that you can do whatever you want with. Since the harness was hacked up, I picked up another one from another 86 Charger that a friend had. It also comes with the car. This would be a great candidate for a T2 swap, or to restore. I paid $1400 for the car about 2 years ago, and drove it for about 2 weeks before the engine incident. I'm asking $1200, including the extra engine, trans, and wiring harness. If you have any questions feel free to post them here, or email me at glhturbo22@sbcglobal.net
