Ok, so I have an '87 LeBaron with '93 K frame and A arms.
I originaly tried to use my '87 spindles, only to find they located the wheels too far forward.

I now have '93 spindles to correct this, but came to some questions.

It's obvious I need to change the brake calipers as well. Do my 15" eggshell rims fit on a '93 LeBaron? Or did they come with 16" wheels only?

Will my current drive shafts still fit the new hubs splines?

Drive shafts will fit no problem

The 15" rims should fit as long as the spindles are off a 10" brake car. If the 93 Lebaron was a GTC and had the 11" brakes there might be clearance problems.

I'm going to move this thread to the suspension section of the forum since that's where it belongs.

I can verify that a Eggshell/Sawtooth wheel, will clear 90 Lebaron VNT calipers

even with the big 11" GTC/RT brakes 15" wheels should fit. Snowflakes and most pizza's. Eggshells maybe, GLHS wheels you have to grind on the caliper a bit.

Trial fit the wheel, some minor grinding might be required.

Right now the brakes are stock '87 calipers and rotors.

I measured 3" between the bolt holes where the calipers mount. The new spindles have 6" between them. Does that mean I need 11" rotors along with new calipers?

pizza rims will fit vented rear disc, but not the corresponding 11" front brakes! consider pizza and swiss cheese rims as an upgrade for cars that still fit 14 inch rims, meaning 10-1/4 rotor front brakes and solid rear disc!

When they changed the design, you could run the 10 inch or 11 inch brakes on the same knuckle, you just need the correct caliper and mounting bracket for the rotor size.

I don't understand what your saying but Pizza wheels will fit 11 inch brakes. I have noticed that the Pizza's with no clear coat and rough holes will clear, the ones with a smooth hole and lclear coated need minor grinding.

Well Napa was having trouble matching a caliper to these new spindles.
They are said to be '93 LeBaron parts. What do you guys think?

pics are back of spindle, front, and overhead.

Notice the holes to mount the caliper, 6" apart. My existing caliper is looking for 3" or 4" apart. That's also what Napa listed for '93.

Is this off a 4 disc car or something? Opposed to drum rear?

You are missing the caliper brackets, that's why no calipers fit. See Simon's comment above, there are different brackets for 10" and 11" brakes.

Ok, so I'm assuming the rotors I have now, are 10". They are stock replacement for '87.

So I can find mounting brackets to work with the rotors and calipers I have now?

Did 11" rotors come with 4 wheel disc setup? When I got the spindles, all she asked was "ABS or no?"

11 inch came on cars with 4 wheel disc, Vans came with 10 or 11 inch front with drum rears. You need to go back to the wrecking yard and get the caliper brackets, then get the calipers for the car you get the brackets. If you find a 91 and up Grand Mini, you will get 11 inch brackets and you have 11 inch brakes up front. Also, Spirit R/T's, Lebaron GTC's have the 11's.
ABS-doesn't matter for calipers as far as I know.

Well reading through the posts from other people discussing their setups, I have a choice.

I bought the '93 spindles for my '93 frame and arms.
Or
I also have a set of '89 arms sitting here. Should I go with them, and my '87 spindles/rotors/calipers, and also use my 1-1/4" sway bar that came with the car? (87)

Ean,
I'd personally use the 89/90 stamped dual pivot arms (they're lighter) along with your stock brakes and stock sway bar for now. When you want to go to 11" brakes find a MC, Prop valve and rear disc setup from a 89/90 Shelby tona, Lebaron GTC or any of the R/T cars. Then go to the J-yard and find a 88-90 Mini with the spindles that have the molded caliper bracket in them and pull them and the calipers and bolt it on after swapping in a set of small bolt pattern hubs from an 89+ car (do it at the j-yard heh). Then you'll have a full 11" disc setup and not have to worry about moving the drive wheels fwd or back. The molded adapter bracket knuckles are also lighter than the later R/T style bolt on setup. And when you go to replace pads or rotors or calipers all you have to do is ask for 89 Shelby Tona brake parts. No worrying about ABS or anything.

That would be the Grand Minis with factory 15 inch wheels.
