Went to QCR last night. I was there for 5 hours and got only 2 runs for $25  Pretty pissed about that, but I can't be mad at my new best time. :p

13.61 at 97mph with a 1.98 60'. I was running 23psi, alcohol injection and 93 octane, along with M&H slicks and all my tools in the back. ;) A/F was still fairly fat sitting at 11.0:1. If given more runs I'm sure I could've squeezed a 13.50 out of it.

Still not too impressed on how slow it is considering my mods and other van times.

I don't want to race again until I put my intake and head studs on. Then I'll feel confident it's staying together and the alky is being properly dispersed.

Congrats on your next best. Definitely take all that extra weight out next time, lol.

Bryan,

Way to stay at it. We will go to 42 on a Wed Night to race in a couple of weeks just to see what it will do there.

I'm excited to see how it does with the intake. Have you test fit it on anything yet, or tried to mount the TB up yet?

Good times, why are you not impressed with them?

+1, vans take a little more due to their toolshed like aerodynamics... cannot run 12's on stick stuff like shadows and l-bodies :thumb:

btw, nice job BdRaYvAeN :thumb:

Well I can't find anyone that wants a mid 13-second van. :thumb: I broke something in the suspension Monday. Thought it was the axles, but it wasn't. Taking it to Al's (5spdmini) shop tomorrow to have him look at it. I don't know jack about suspension.

Friday I'm for sure puting the head studs and intake on. I have no plans so what better way to kill a couple of hours. hehe Still need to get over there and drill and tap my ports for my twin alky nozzlez over the velocity stacks.

Aaron this will practically be a back-to-back comparison of your intake. I ran a 13.61 with a stocker so it will be interesting to see the difference. The only added difference will, in fact, be a slightly small upper intercooler pipe (2.75" SS). I'll be leaving the single alky nozzle in the same place until I can get the fittings for the duals.

13.6 sounds good to me. considering you are still running stock head and manifolds iirc, i wouldnt complain about it. in all honesty, the stock head, intake manifold, tb, and exhaust manifold are pretty shitty as delivered. if you think of it objectively, outside the TD world, you took a 3400 lb (slow), 4 cyl (slow), 3spd auto (slow) toolshed (slow) and ran 13.6 using quite a few stock parts. slow+slow+slow+slow=13.6 :)

lol thanks but with an a/f of 11.0:1 there was much more room for improvement that night. Hopefully next week I can go back with the intake.

Almost everything is here, will try to put the engine together next week, then on holidays, then work stupid hours to get it running before we run out of drag racing in Early October.

Shelgame is burning me a cal once I get my flow numbers.

Almost doesn't count,

lol, you talk some smack for a van that doesnt run. i know how that is, tho.

also, he did say his tools were in the back so he's got some claim to 'toolshed'.

if my van had a nickname it'd be 'made it this far just to get trashed by Vigo'.:o gotta vacuum that sucker someday..

Mine has been sort of named "Jinx", thinking she's getting screwed up enough now that I should call her "The Crazy '88" though might save that for when she's closer to beating up on a Viper.

Hey, howbout, VigoRus? for Vigo's Rust rocket :D :eyebrows:
