I saw James run three 10.8X or so passes IIRC, alla round 131 mph. I only saw one pass by Rob, running 11 soemthing at 116... quite a bit off his normal pace, and I don't have any answer why. I was pretty busy most of the time.

.....and the winner of the fwd Q8 is James Reeves  what a awesome race it was. in the last round James was up against a pro looking wheelie bar mid 9 sec. dsm.
like always i was fighting electrical problems  but i had a good time anyway. going to park the charger for the rest of the year and go over every inch of wire over the winter.

James was going 10.81 to 10.91 all day, 131 to 134(?)mph

The quiick "8" was 3 Dodges, 2 Mitsus, 2 H*nduhs.

James and Rob in the semi.

Final came down to the Omni and a 9.5 second drag / wheelie bared Mitsu that had electrical issus, James wins again... :hail:

All of my ECM stuff is highly shielded and I run solid core spark plug wires with 100,000 volts. That seems to knock out the competitions ignitions.

Ya wait till you hear the huge pops between shifts it was his Elec Mag Pulse Cannon going off. All the loose metal junk on the track was magnetized to his DP............:eyebrows: He wiped the Talon on the 1 to 2 shift but it took 2 shifts to frag Ohio Rob on the 2 to 3 blast.

If any video makes it up here you will here the mega backfires on the shifts..........really.

4 for 4 for the Omni "vore". It'll eat anything.

James slick decided to put a hole in one of his external oil filters. He left a nice trail of oil from the tech line back to the pits. We couldnt think of any parts stores to run too and it was getting close to qualifing so we grabed the ph8a of the woody wagon is was a little shorter and cleared the tire just fine. After james proceded to whoop up on all the imports we put the car on the trailer took the filter back off and put it on the wagon and drove home.:thumb: Ive allready got dibs to put the filter on ebay after its used up on the wagon.

Reeves comes back from tech, trailing a stream of oil..

Investigation reveals that the RH slick has worn through the remote mount oil filter.

James nor Ohio Rob have a spare...

The OVC springs into action, and determines that Serious Wood has a shorter PH8 style filter than the PH43 on the Omni.

The wagon filter is removed and used on the Omni, and SAVES THE DAY!!!!!

(Then put back on the Woody fer the drive home....) :amen:
