I've had some fun in the last 6wks on the highways:D

Porsche 911(996) Turbo = too close to call
Subaru WRX = almost rear ended him, waste of time
Dodge Viper R/T 2nd gen = too close to call
Turbo '02-'04 Honda SiR = walked him
Suzuki GSX-R1000 = got walked, had to try
Ford SVT Cobra '03/'04 modded = he edged up on me
older Yamaha YZF 7?? = too close to call
Audi S4 = no problem

All were nothing crazy, lots of room, no stupid lane changes. Started off in either 3rd or 4th & sometimes got into 5th for a bit.

Anyone else having fun out there?

Well, another year has come & gone...

Since mid August, I had a few more hwy runs:

Porsche 911(996) turbo = equal
older Suzuki GSX-R 750 = too close to call
AMC Javelin = fast, but not fast enough :)
JDM Toyota MR2 = walked him in 4th, top of 4th into 5th pulled hard on him

That's it for this year, stored the car today, until next year :eyebrows:

On another note, I had my friends GPS with me to check my speedo, noticed it recorded max speed :D So I found a nice strip of hwy, no one around, so I started in 3rd around 50mph, about 1 mile later, I let off about 6k in 5th, shifting 3rd & 4th at 6400, max speed was 149mph, could've gone to 6400 but that was enough.

I am always messing around with cars, I get guys that try to beat me off lights, get around me before the lane ends, pass me on the highway, its so much fun when they can't beat me, :amen:

wah, I want some highway fun. Only car I ever raced on the freeway in my fun car (and I never left 5th gear) was a caddy SRX this summer that decided to rev at me at a stoplight before a freeway entrance (on my way to dragstrip). I let them take off then I flew past to beat them onto the ramp. They tailgate me and i just pop into 5th gear @ 55mph and floor it. Poor people. They dont even know how little I was trying lol. They did have a smile on their faces though. Let off when I felt unsafe and let them drivebye :
That was actually with a broken pipe leading to my wastegate so I was building boost way to slow.

Would be fun to race some of those cars........I just always see them in my non fun car or in traffic :P
Also, 8mpg is not so fun for cruising lol.

The last highway run I had was against a newer cavalier (riced out) in my old Shelby Lancer #71 (rest in peace).

The best part about it was we started off at 70mph and I started walking him w/out ever downshifting from 5th, lol.

When we had our Cav (ecotec) we got walked by a 90 something Escort GT(mazda powered).. Cavs have sucked since the loss of the Quad4! Even the Cobalt is kinda sorry.

Omni and I knocked off a Hemi Charger. Guy was tailgating me in a no passing zone, just before he got a chance to hop around me I jumped down to 4th and rolled up to triple digits.. Boyo never had a chance AND gave me a ricer fly by about 5 miles down the road!:yuck: and an Infinity G35, not really a kill as I was stuck behind him but every gear I'd practically drive right up his moaning tailpipes.. Very sad..
