88 vs 89 dash harness p-body.

Im in the process of tracking down all the electrical gremlens in my 88 Shadow ES, the car was origanly a 2.5TBI car now it has a 89 2.5 T1

anyway im radio isn't working. it works say 10% of the time. Ive got power on the pink wire and with the ACC on power on the red wire. but it wont power up, ive tried 3 head units so that isnt the problem.

to complicate things I just installed the matching dash harness from my 89 parts car. a non es 4 door shadow.

it seems the dash harness doesn't provide for front speakers.

what gives?

ok seems the problem has to do with the harness coming from a 4 door and being installed into a 2 door.

since the car had 4 door switches they reroute the speaker wires to make room for the door pin switches.

and for the general headunit flakiness, looks like ive got 3 NFG infinity units.
