I'm tired of looking at stock ride height on my Neon.
Can anyone recommend springs?
I'm looking for a subtle 1" or so drop. Ride can be about equal or a little firmer. I'd prefer to keep existing (stock) shocks/struts.

I think its slightly more then a 1 inch drop, but If your looking to keep a near stock ride, 1g neon springs are where its at. A friend of mine put a set on his 00, and loved them so much he swapped them into his 04 "show car" and removed the eibachs.

^ Kiss you struts goodbye. I have the mopar lowering springs on the R/T and love them but I think they are no longer avaliable. Tire rack has a special on some decent ones right now.

Is it the 1st gen springs that'll kill my struts, or lowering springs in general?

1gn springs. Check out 2gn.org for more info.

Get stock used SRT-4 springs. They will drop you about an inch, won't kill your struts, and will give a nice ride.

So I have to ask...

How do stock 1st gen springs damage struts/shocks, but SRT springs don't?

1g springs are designed to hold up a 2500lb car not your 2850lb 2gn. also the rates are about 10in/lb softer than 2g springs if you get RT/acr springs. If you use the 1g spring you still have the --- up stance that looks so horriable.

Those are the mopar 2g springs

I have 1st gen R/T springs on my 05 and love them. Car has 45k on it, 12k with the 1G springs and no strut issues.
