How long has it been down? Any idea as to if/when it will be back up?

TURBODODGE.COM is getting a software upgrade to hopefully address some bugfixes and add some new features. We should be up in a few hours.
Guess this was planned all along and the admin just forgot to inform the prior staff there... ;)

I noticed they stopped the points system.

It is sad. The amin over there has logged in once in over 5 months. Between the cost of trying to buy the site off of him, or the fact that he seemed to not care, even with the incoming money of members and vendors, it has driven him to compete with a board that cares.
So sad.

This really is a sad situation to an extent, but I am pumped about this site. I think it will really thrive.

In my opinion, it was a bad move. Just reinforces the inattention shown in the past. It is not a guarantee of the future. A "knee jerk" reaction. Reflects badly

I hope it is OK to use the devil scraping the ice off the windshield line, because I will.

You could also say "Stick a fork in it, it's done". Or close to it, anyway.

That is false information.
Please stop the bullshit.

While I may agree here, there still is no need to continue to bad mouth TD.com. That is what made BM so...sad.

Seemed like it was just a good place to vent, and not get your posts edited/deleted.

Well, if it matters to anyone, it's another great site where I can come and waste time during my downtime at work! Thanks guys and looking forward to a lot of fun on all sites. BTW, do I look funny? Everytime I sign in to the chat room someone is always just leaving (Except for your Subliminal!)

Trust me, that wasn't badmouthing. It was advice. Perception is a powerful thing. To reinforce a negative perception is not good.

You say not to badmouth one site and then proceed to badmouth another site in the same breath. :shakes head:

Well, you do have a strange odor around you. :bounce:
Seriously though. A lot of people were having problems with the chat feature yesterday and this morning.

I just wish that as the older boards wind down that the years of accumulated tech data in the postings could be collected and archived.

I am liking the new site, but my only concern is all the great threads that we could go back and look up on TD.C will not be here at TM....I guess if this site were to buy out TD.C all the info could be put on here right? But other than that, I like it. Especially since everyone seems to be here with the same user names and avatars....helps a lot...otherwise we wouldn't know who is who

If TD.com continues to live, then all it's tech data will continue to be available. But if i recall, older threads there would be auto deleted after some set period of time anyhow.
IMO, the OLD SDML archives are the real treasure trove anyhow. Gus, Gary D., Garry M., Doug Mill and a small handful of others all posted there at point or another. Most of the "good" information that was passed out on TD.com was handed down from those people anyhow. ;)

I think most of the people the gave out the good info in the first place are here now anyways. Or they at least have read that info and can repeat it for others. If we can get as much of that stuff into FAQ's it would be easier to find anyways. Other then that if people just ask questions the info will come back up.
