Automatics use 'flex plates' not 'flywheels' ... might help your search :thumb:

He's just telling you to rename the thread(like I did above^^) to "flexplate" and not "flywheel"; this will dramatically improve your results in finding the part.

What your looking for does not exist. All of the 6 bolt flex plates only have 3 converter bolt holes.

Machine shop time. Have them drill the convertor holes in the right place. Since one is offset, they will have to know which way faces the converter.

What your looking for does not exist. All of the 6 bolt flex plates only have 3 converter bolt holes.+1 ... will need a 8 bolt crank to go with that 4 lug flexplate.

Are you putting in a later tranny? If so, reuse or get a rebuilt 85 TC and just use that, provided your later trans is not a LU and change the pump back to a 85 unit.

Probably easiest to get a custom convertor made up with the three bolt holes on the convertor. PM me if you need one made up.....probably in the 150-200 dollar range.

Actually, it might not even need to be custom, you might be able to use an older style convertor in the newer style tranny? Not sure about that.

The problem is the pump drive but if you mix and match pumps, you can use any year converter you want, :thumb:

I'd vote that the easiest would be to mod a flex plate.

It would have to be the cheapest route.

Not unless you have a bunch of parts sitting around like I do,

True, I know a guy that used to change the pumps and converters all the time to make older transmissions work in newer cars.
