I have had a problem driving me nuts with a starter not working.
The starter was bad but.........It still won't start. The voltmeter in the car shows voltage till I try to start and then goes to zero and stays there.
I just got a lesson in how to check the wires.
Hook a voltmeter parallel with the questionable wire and apply a load. If the voltage rises on the voltmeter, the wire or a terminal is bad.
