how many of us out there own a turbo K body?
seems like most of us have AJ lebarons, Daytonas, Omnis and Shadows.
not that there's a thing wrong with that (ok i'll admit it, i've got Daytona envy:D).
still, it's kinda cool to see the older lancers, lebarons and others still running around

I have a 86 new yorker that is MINT and a 87 that is really torn up. I use the 86 for my stock DD, and the 87 is going to be turned into SDAC NY clone!

New Yorkers are E bodies or something. Anyway, exterior trim and pannels do no swap over to a K.

I have an '87 Lebaron K 4 door, blue, T2/A413. Picked up another identical Lebaron a few months ago for parts.

It is? They use a Lebaron front end. Not to surpising. The T&C is just a trim package basically.

One of my old '87 Daytona ShelbyZs has a big "J" on the firewall. They use the same firewalls between J and G bodies, same goes for the K and E bodies using the same firewall.

My friend who bought that Daytona has an '86 Reliant SE two door that will get a Common Block TII(from a TC by Maserati) that's in my old LeBaron. :)

most of the early cars should be classified as AK bodies, shouldn't they?
(aside from the L,G, and I bodies)

Saw at least two ommissions on that list. 1. If the FJ is Sebring Coupe and Avenger then it should also list 01 and up Stratus Coupe. 2. No mention of Rampage and Scamp in the L-body list.

1. Don't know on that one, other than that it seems to be a fairly complete list (for something made a few years ago). http://smiliesftw.com/x/dunno.gif

2. "N" body models include:

1982-84 Dodge Rampage
1983 Plymouth Scamp

Yea, it's a fun car. Very very unsuspecting until it rolls up and you hear the exhaust. That's going to change though, I'm putting stock exhaust on it, with an electric cutout off of a custom 3" SV housing. It should be fun rollin with stock exhaust and then smoking the ricers when I pop the cutout open.

No rust at all. Not even the e brake cable. Theres a small spot on the rocker before the pass side rear wheel well where the paint is bubbling, but Im going to fix that before it gets any worse. The old guy I bought the car from for $100 bought the car in 1990 in FL where he lived and brought it to PA, so it's originally a FL car, which I why I vacuumed out like 10 pounds of sand from the carpet.

ottawa rogue: tell me something I don't know lol I cant wait to get that setup fabbed up and installed. It should be sweet. I need to get another head first though, this one is cracked from the water jackets to the intake valves on cylinders 1-3. So it's trashed. Im getting a G head to put on it, should have more even more fun with the ricers:eyebrows:

don't feel bad, my lebaron is down at the moment too.
when i put the new clutch in it last weekend, i dropped the trans off of the jack, it fell about 3".
i didn't see any damage, but it was enough to crack the endcap and leak oil when it's driven.
but i should be back up in a couple of days.

just out of curiousity, how much room is there behind the plenum of your manifold?
i'll be doing the T2 swap over the winter and i'm a little concerned about the firewall clearance

I did this past winter, but only like twice. The engine leaks enough oil that the whole underside is covered, so it's Dodge's way of Ziebarting a car.

Ahhhh, the old "self changing oil" thing. just screw on a new filter every 3,000 and you're good to go:D

yeah I got caught in the salt once with mine too this spring. brought it out too early. lol. thats ok, I took the hose to it for about 30 min on the end of a broomstick to make sure it was salt free. mine is super clean too and I plan to keep it that way.

BTW folks, no firewall clearance issues. this aint no L body. the bay is only a little smaller than a daytona and thats pretty much between the motor and the front crossmember.

i know you didnt ask me the question, but i did a conversion on my 85 lebaron convertable, its probably got 4 inches inbetween thee firewall and the back of the manifold, the closest fit on the conversion is the wastegate actuator and the intake manifold. like .00000001 inches clearance.. ok, its not that close, but its real close

thats pretty cool.. i always thought foglights would look stupid on the cars but those look good.. if i do it im leaving the lower grille on
