Thats no kidding there Fleck! changing the battery in my dad's PT turbo was a pain in the arse. At least thats how I remember it!

Here is his cardomain, which has pictures of said header. That's pretty intense, some extremely nice work on that piece there.

That entire car is amazing... it's that fast, 11.9 @ 121 on 428 WHP w/ no nitrous, and has a full show car sound system, exterior, interior, etc etc.

Kudos to him and anyone else that was involved in that car.

Your telling me. I used to get yelled at for the turbocharger / intake manifold design all the time. But thing was car was never designed for a turbo, came out a 2.4L NA - then direction came, needs mo power!

BTW, his best run w/o nitrous is 11.96@121mph Q/M without nos.... Nice isn't it. :thumb:

Also, click this link and see how fast some of the PT turbo guys are running now. http://home.comcast.net/~cuillard/FastestTimesList.htm

That car is tight. The side exits, the whole package, etc.... and it goes that fast with all of that. Impressive.

Ha, that car is from my town, Shaun who is running the dyno owns Kinetic Motorsports, there aprox 15-20 mins from me.

Funny thing is, I've never seen it on the street but heard about it at the track this year, never had it out last year.

Tick-Tock....Tick Tock.

Hopefully it really has some AEM EMS, Oliver Rods and some Weisco's and some ARP hardware.

Yeah, I believe from what I followed on there that he tore it down shortly after and is now doing a full build to the bottom end.

hey guys, i was just informed about this site from "spaceman1983" who left a comment on my car domain site. thats my pt and i wanted to come on the site to say thanks for all the cool comments on the car.
Frank - it was actually a guy named Tommy Franke who built the header at Kinetic.
Dusty Duster - i have always said the best compliment you can get is from a guy who doesn't normally like the style of a car and says he likes this one, so thanks for that.
8valves - thanks for all the compliments on the ride
turbovanman - i came out last year with my cruiser once on the last race and ran a 12.7 Q/M and saw you run a few times and that van is fricken crazy, talk about a shocker. i always have people coming over to me and comparing your van and my pt as the shockers of how fast they are. look forward to seeing you out there again.
mario03SRT - tick tock is correct. i realise i am past the safe zone of the stock internals and it is a gernade with the pin pulled at that level.

i have not done the bottom end yet but will be very soon. i did 8 pulls over 520whp that day on the dyno back to back and it held together. i drive this car everyday and it runs amazing on the street, just yesterday i drove to hope and back which was a 4 hour drive there and back. with pump gas and low boost it puts out 376whp which is perfect for the street and will do it all day long. i have no secrets and will help anyone with what i have learned with this build so if you have any questions, please ask.
thanks again guys.

Excellent to see someone take a great engine in a not so friendly engine compartment and do it big like that!

Man that thing is nice! Never thought of a PT Cruiser. Then again never thought of a van either. Hmph. Excellent craftsmanship and it's great to see you actually drive it. That's the best part! :thumb:

Thats a nice looking PT and I have never like PTs,you did some amazing work on your ride.Welcome to the board.Your ride is proof of how strong the 2.4 is.I just went back and looked at the pics again, how hard were you running it when the pic was taken with the glowing header. And were they realy that close to the bomb.

cool compliments thanks, the pictures were taken just after a 590 and 599hp pulls so they were a bit more red with the gas on but matt clicked the picture just after letting off. at that level on stock internals it was a gernade with the pin pulled so you dont want to stand too close.
