Went to test and tune last night with the new 26 inch slick's for the first time since I broke the trans.I figured I would be easy on it out of the hole so I set the stage limiter to 3250 rpm.Im running a 2 stage boost so I was running 11 psi through 1st gear and then when I hit 2nd I went to 19psi.1st pass it went 7.83 @ 94 mph with a 1.87 60ft.I made a couple more 7.80 passes and decided to turn the high boost up to 24psi.I came out of the hole at 13 psi through 1st and then grabbed the high boost,it went 7.60 @ 98.64 mph. There is alot more left in it I cant wait to go again, next time Im going to turn the stage limiter to 3500 and it should cut some low 1.7 60's hopefully.

That's great! Any street car that runs near 100 mph in the 1/8th is impressive. I wish I'd have known you were going.

That's AWESOME Kevin, you got it going on now!!! I believe you'll get that 6 second ET @ 100+mph that you want. And with a 3000+lb street car!!! You have set the bar very high for me to keep up with you, darn ya! :)

No ken, also a fresh trans with a different style ring gear spacer in it,I destroyed my other trans earlier this year on the first run with the bigger slicks.I also have a different header on it this year.

did you make a post about the new spacer somewhere? im curious whats different. No I didn't but basically it's frank's design he sent it to me and I had one made. The one I was using didnt locate on the inside of the ring gear and this one does.Im not so sure that the spacer had anything to do with the tranny breakage because there are a couple of guys that have had the same problem.

I don't know the exact #'s, but Kevin told me he went 7.50 @ 101mph at Nashville!! That was with only a 1.9- 60'. With a 1.7- 60' like he normally can pull with a more aggressive launch, and that's a 10 second (1/4 mile) 3000+ lb street car!!! WOW!!!

I'm impressed that he pulled a 1.9 60' at Music City Raceway.

Its actually a pretty decent track but the burnout and staging setup stink Oh and if you have a car that'll go 120mph in the 1/8 you better have a chute.:nod:Oh yeah and I did better my mph best run was 7.56 @ 101.02

Could you get your front wheels in the water box without bumping the guardrail?

That track has never been noted for good 60' times. They did spend a ton of money on a new concrete surface, so maybe they are going all out on track prep too.

Was it crowded? I've been up there on test and tune night and could only get in 3 passes.
