I think someone had them on BoostedMopar.

Chris told me what it flowed in person, so I'll let him post up about it if he chooses to do so.

DodgeZ posted this at boostedmopar.com.

Though this one doesn't look like it will flow too well...;)

Yeah it's going to be cast and Chris said it should be available in September, I'm sure he will correct me if I am wrong. Also should be in the mid $300 range I believe.

It's pretty much what I am looking for since nobody wants to build me an equal length...

Nice looking thats for sure, :thumb:

Theres a few guys that are building equal length but there not cheap, ;)

It almost looks like the log gets larger as the ports join-in. For $300, that would be a nice upgrade and probably more durable than a welded unit. Plus, the ports are angled towards the turbo, instead of in both directions like the Schedule 40 type. The logo would match my SV, LOL.

Any idea if this will work with the L-body rod shifter?

No reason why it wouldn't.

Actually there is a reason why it wouldn't. It moves the SV over several inches from the stock location just as the TU header does. When that is moved over the down pipe goes with it and interferes with the rod transfer pivot. I can not say for sure, only Chris can at this point, but I would bet it cannot be used in rod shifted L-bodies. I base this purely on comparison of available pics of the mani and header, and my knowledge that the header interferes.

It also makes it hard to get an intake pipe on the turbo because of the brake booster if you have power brakes in an L body.

Anyway, it's not going to be $300. Chris told me in the range of $350-400. It is cast iron, and a step-tube design. The main body gets larger as each port enters the log, this keeps velocity at a maximum and helps flow as well. As yes he did tell me it flows better than the original TU header, so it's better is all aspects you can think of pretty much. It's 1 piece cast iron, it's cheaper, and it flows better. :amen:

Just for everyone else's notes, I've had two different TU headers on my car (power brakes in an L body, with cable linkage and the large PB rear motor mount), and with both a simple 90* bend off of the compressor inlet cleared everything with no problems. This is with a 4" diameter tube and compressor inlet, so a 3" should be a breeze.

Yeah I should have said Omni not just L-body. SC's have a larger engine bay.

Are you sure about that? I thought they were exactly the same.

moparzrule

No I'm not positive. But I had heard about the turbo intake clearance before with the TU header on some kind of L body before. I have no real facts only what I have heard.

hmm, like I said I wasn't positive but I KNOW I heard about turbo intake clearances of the TU headers on an L body with power brakes. Oh well!

Don't say anything if you're not sure. That is how false information gets started.

Charger have more space in FRONT of the engine bay compare to Omni, thus you can fit a intercooler in the between the body and the engine bay of a charger without cutting any plastic and keep your a/c condenser. In an Omni, you have to get rid of the grille to have a front mount intercooler and a/c condenser.

Case in point, I apparently got false info!!! LOL
Thanks for the REAL info.

I have to say that these first run units have exceeded my expectations. The inside is smooth and should not require any "touching up". Now off to the machine shop for holes and milling.

The Chrysler and Ford style turbine flanges require different angles for mounting. These are designed for the Chrysler style housings.

Sure is. This new manifold is by far the best option for people now when cost is considered into the equation. It should make damn good power, be reliable, it fits, all kinds of options with it like the external, egt bungs, etc. It was pretty sweet looking at Carlisle. If I didn't make my header I would have one for sure.

Just enough for the T04E compressor housing outlet to clear the head.

For this reason alone, I'll be getting one! And since it's so nice, I probably won't grind on you too much about the $$ (not that it would, or should make a diff). Sorry, it's just the TM'r in me!:D

Once testing has been completed I will be able to offer a target release date. We expect to have them shipping before the end of the year. Several customers have contacted us about pre-ordering. That will probably be a good idea since there may only be a limited run of these headers made. We'll have to see how popular they are before we invest in a huge run of them.
