TU header motor install

who has installed a motor with one in ??? did u have the turbo already mounted or did u just wait till after the motor was in

Done it many times, but I always prefer to install the shortblock with the tranny, then bolt the head as a complete assembly on afterwards. It's far far simpler, espescially in an L.

oops dont think i was clear the motor will have the trans on it its completely assembled just want to know if the turbo is in the way making it harder to install or should i wait untill the motor is in to bolt it

but it might be 2 tight for your sitution (l body)

mounting that turbo might be fun for you Alex, check the clearance for wrenches so you dont bolt the head up and then go to put the turbo on and you dont get at the nuts
