I simply took a 90's Cavalier strut bar, all Z24's and the V6's reg models came with them. There very sturdy, thick square tubing and can be had for next to nothing.
I cut mine apart in the center and matched up some square tubing that the bar would slide into. I used one original hole on the bar, and weld on another one. Then cut the square tubing to fit, attached the bar, tack welded the tubing and finished welding on the bench. A quick spray of black paint and BAM, a cheap and solid strut bar.
