WNY-SDAC July meeting info

I had an idea for the july meeting....The local mopar club in syracuse puts on an all mopar show each year at long branch park...if the weather holds they usually get anywhere from 200-300 mopars of all years. They don't have a huge turnout of turbo dodges but it is still a nice show. We could meet there...the people that want to show there car can or the other people could car pool over to the show. Is anyone interested??

Alright guys, were getting very close to July, what are we doing? It doesnt look like the original idea is going to work out.

I have the 14-15 weekend off and 28-29 weekend off. Maybe if no one has anything going on we could make a weekend thing? Idk, any drag strips having a testntune?

doesn't matter to me....besides the fact i need to stay fairly close to the cuse.....my wife is due for our second child at the end of the month so i don't want to stray too far away.

Id be up for ESTA. Im close enough to home to where I could race my car lol. Unlike SDAC. We just need to pick a time that I have off though.

I'd be up for a meet sometime. I got my Spirit running and it should be registered soon enough to go to a show or something. I was hoping to take it to the track this year, I'm hoping for low 15's.

if we go buy orangetona's schedule then it would have to be the weekend of the 28-29 because the weekend of the 14th-15th they don't have any street classes at ESTA since they have a pro-sled shootout. The weekend of the 28-29th is the weekend of the mopar show. they never advertise there test n tune nights do other tracks have any test n tunes coming up. or maybe we could do some other event.

#91 is an original Recaro equipped car (as you can see in the pics) but not a wide tire optioned car. It was originally shipped to Lancaster Dodge in Lancaster PA.

No, a guy had it locally (lebanon, PA) for the past 10 years and just decided to sell it. He said he has been involved in a bunch of other projects over the last 10 years and finally got really into a focus (sponsored and everything, it's pretty nice); so he felt it was time to let it go to another shelby dodge guy.

Cool, Thanks. I have the window sticker in the papers he gave me and I should really look it over; he also gave me a set of service manuals, magizine articles about it, and the advertisements. Lots of stuff to display at SDAC-18. :nod:

I was going between the two to begin with, and I'm more than happy with the CSX. It's nice I can fit in it with out having to relocate the seat or install a tilt columb.

As for the July meeting.......sorry I missed all the activity on this thread. Im open for a lot of options. I could possible do a Sunday morning on the 29th, but really prefer not to. Sunday is more of a family day for us.

Another option is the Syracuse Nationals. For those that dont know, the Syracuse Nats is the largest car happening on the east coast for hot rods, musclecars, and special interest vehicles. |There arent many shelby dodges, but many other shelbys. Regardless, if youve never been.......its WORTH IT. I would suggest actually meeting up for some of the night life. If you can picture an SDAC type parking lot scene, but with a thousand cars and several thousand people, you get the picture. I think the show is that weekend of the 21st. It runs (maybe thurs), friday, sat, sun.

My suggestion would be to come on out for one of the days (maybe fri or sat), tour around the show and then meet up after 9PM at one of the prescribed locations around Syracuse (I know a few) and have a good time watching burnouts and stuff. I will be there for all days and working in the center of progress building for my Dad's company (we have a booth). SO, it doesnt matter what day or night we do it.

And, as always, this is just a suggestion. Im open for other ideas as well including a cruise night (the largest on the east coast is here every wednesday), NYIRP test and tune on fridays, or anything else.

If we dont have clear choice by this friday, I we can vote on it and just take the choice with the highest number possibly attending.

Wont know for sure until we get there. Last year we were smack in the middle of the center of progress building (the only one with A/C). We were next to the giant PPG paint exhibit. We had my GTO and my dad's 55 T-Bird on display in the booth. THis year.......probably something similiar. We asked for the same spot again so we will see. Definately in the center of progress somewhere though. Stop by and see us.
