That looks sweet... I really like it, but I was under the impression our factory gauges suck. Can they be made more "precise" to keep the original look? I would love to be able to do that...

I tested it with a vacumn pump, was dead on at 10 psi, but it did start to go off after that. Since I won't have more than 15 lbs of boost it's close enough.

How much money do you have to burn? Any place that does analog/sweep style instrumentations (not just for automotive applications) may be able to make you a gauge that reuses the stock gauge face... the tach I have in my Saab was built by GE as a one-off using the Syracuse plant's instrumentation department when one of the guys had some time free (this was some decades ago now). Its as accurate as the gauges on a nuclear power plant... not that its application calls for that.

If you can find a off the shelf gauge that does the same span you maybe able to put it behind a stock face... the sweep function must occur at the same pace, with readings at the same locations or you'd have to repaint the stock face to "match"

What would be really slick would be to build a stock appearing face that's that's incremented to 30 psi and matched up to the internals out of an aftermarket 30 psi gauge.
I toyed with the idea a few years ago, but couldn't figure out how to go about making a face that would light up like the stocker.

I had one in my first GLH & when I got the silver car I was gonna mount the gauge in the a/c vent, BUT since I plan on fixing the a/c I dunno if I'm gonna put the gauge in the car. It ws out of an older turbo Shadow & worked fine. I never noticed any inaccuracies with it at all, so I dunno.

I'll have working AC, figured missing one vent won't be too bad.
