View Full Version : 568 or 555 take the abuse of a hybrid

I am hoping for around 400-450 whp, will either of these trans take the punishment? What are people using for manuals?

a 555 with a plate, or a 568 should be able to handle that amount of power with ease.

+1 The choice between the two is really limited what is easiest for you to get ahold of. A 555 will typically be cheaper, but requires a moly plate ($100) while the 568 will most likely require a new shifter/cables depending on the model year of the car getting the hybrid.

car it is going in is a 87 shelby z. got the 555, where do I get a moly plate?

I think that omni-potent is the cheapest place to get one. They are a vendor on the site here.
