Wondering what the difference in a 3 to 4 wire 02 sensor is. I can't get my old one out of the Rampage to replace it (3 wire) and I have an 89 t-van harness (4 wire) it need to plug into. If it will run alright retrofitting a 3 wire plug so I can run the older sensor, what will need to be done? I figure I'll end up with an engine code, but will it effect the performance?

Thank you.

No code. The only difference between 3 wire and 4 wire is an additional ground for the sensor signal. In the case of using a 3 wire sensor with a 4 wire harness, you'd just leave the extra ground unhooked. The only drawback is that you might not get full voltage from the sensor if you're using a narrowband a/f gauge. I'm currently running a 1 wire sensor in the Sundance with no problems.
