Does anyone run a oil cooler on street. Is so what set up do you use, Bruce:nod:

I use a Hayden ... I think it was something NAPA carried. Kit had everything. Enough hose for mounting in the nose. Adapter is thermostatically controlled I believe. It only sends oil to the cooler once it reaches full operating temperature.

Works good. Can use a stock or even a little longer filter with the adapter.
Figure to add a drain "tee" on one side of the cooler.

Honestly, with our engines I'd add two parts.
I'd get a (1) block adapter set-up for a remote filter and (2) a remote filter mount.
Add in a cooler kit to that. You'll just have to cap off one fitting.
That will move the oil filter to a more convenient place. Filter options then become endless.

Also, you may* (*depends on your internal clearances) be looking to add the MP oil pressure relief spring upgrade to the pump just to provide more headroom for the additional lines/equipment. I'd do this anyway.

The cheapest way is to use a remote oil filter kit and an 2nd gen rx7 cooler. it is thermostatically controlled and cools great but pretty big.
