OK, so the most important issue about SDAC 17:

Penn state beer / alchohol sales laws.

Where, when are adult beverages sold??

I hear that beer is not sold in your average grocery stores??

That you need to go to a bar to get beer to go???

What up wit dat????

WE NEED TO KNOW!!!!! :banghead:

And a better question, what does a case of beer go for? Need to know if we need to be 'East bound and down, loaded up and truckin' :thumb:

From my experiance you need to go to a bar or beer distributor to get beer. Hard stuff and beer "usually" are not sold in the same store...

There will be two convenient places to stock up on your burr. One is a really cool restaurant that is just on the other side of Interstate 70 from our host hotel. It is like a 6 pack to go place, and they are being very cool with us being in New Stanton during our convention. The other one is a perhaps a half mile or so down from there, and it is a drive-thru beer arena sort of deal where you tell them what kind of beer you want, you pop your hatch and they put it in for you. I am not certain about their prices, but can say that on average cans are of course cheaper than bottles, but cases of bottles (usually 24) range from $22 - $26. If you want Grolsch, then it's like $43 for a case! haha

Beer is not found in neither grocery stores nor gas stations here.

If I'm not mistaken, I do believe there is some sort of bar/lounge in the basement of our host hotel as well named ----tails? I'll have to double check, because perhaps that may be the best option so no one makes a beer run after having already knocked a couple back, ya know?

Beer cannot be sold in PA prior to 11 AM on Sundays. Other days of the week it can be sold pretty much anytime from 8 AM until 2 AM.

I will send it this weekend for sure. I've been out most of the day, and will be out most of tomorrow. But I hope to get caught up on some things Sunday.

I can bring some Blithering Idiot from the Philly area... Nobody ever likes it though, I think I'm the only one. It's about a 12% abv.

My brew is 5% and it tastes better than just about anything you can buy. I have been told that by quite a few people :)

I will bring some Genny cream ale for Ken and who ever else wants some.
