c is for the knock sensor

r is for the oil pressure sender

Do you want me to drop off a '99 PL Body service manual?

If you want to bring it with you Saturday I'd be interested in borrowing it for a while :thumb: So far i am finding the 2.4L is a little different than the 2.0L tho :(

Yep, I went thru this when I put an SRT motor in a 95 Neon, :banghead:

Yep, not as easy of a motor swap as i had hoped, but I'm figuring it out :thumb:

Must be a 1G block, 'cause that looks a lot different than my 2G block.

yeah to do the swap, you need some different brackets than you have. there is a good amount of info on neons.org on what stuff to get, I know you need some PT stuff here and some neon stuff there and some stratus stuff here and a 80$ motor mount adapter there. :)

I modified the stock Neon front mount and bought the mount and adapter for the pass side. The power steering was crazy, should have used the 2.4 pump, reusing the Neon pump took alot of work. I think you can reuse your old alt but you must get the 2.4 mount brackets.

Well all the holes that worked for my 2.4 swapped neon using PT brackets.

p,t,u are for altenator

I or C for Knock sensor. I believe I was used in neon. C for 2.4

A,F PT power steering bracket

J,K,L a/c

N,O front motor mount

E is for coolant tube support

D might have been used to support the heater coolant pipes.

W,X were used for tranny to motor bracket

So for a turbo 2.4L is "S" used for coolant return from the turbo?

Actually I think it is the feed...

The return from the turbo on the PT goes into the heatercore lines.

We need to get a PT block aswell since there are extra holes.

The PT oil sender line is just below the upper left freezeplug on the rear. The R hole is used to feed the turbo and the other hole is the sender.

There is another coolant feed hole above that freezeplug aswell that is used to feed the oil preheater/cooler.

Here is the best picture I have handy of the back of an SRT block:

Pictures with labeling:

5757

Yeah, I didnt think so either... the back of the alternatror and top of the oil filter both had green on them tho :(

OK, so these 2.4L are still new to me. Are there any holes on the front (pulley side) or back (turbo side) of the block that need RTV on the bolt cuz they go into the water jacket???

Got the coolant leak in the intake fixed after a filer rod and a half. Still might have something leaking whether it is a bolt or fitting, I am not sure and am tired of looking at it tonight Maybe just residual from the waterfall I had earlier?

They are all blind on my SRT4 block and don't need any sealant.
