View Full Version : How to tell a 3 bar Map from a 2 bar?

I am supposed to have a 3 bar map but it looks like its not. Its a GM, the part numbers are 466 on top, by the plug, 460 8305. Also by the plug, it has one large notch cut out of the housing, my own personal 3 bar has one large notch and 1 small notch.

well, look at the alignment tabs inside the 3 holes where the harness plugs in. They are different than 2 bar ones, and different again for NA ones. (at least all the ones Ive seen)

i have a brand new (fwdp) known 3 bar for sale... never used ...

simon test it yourself give it 5 volts and hook it up to your compressor and see how much pressure it takes for the output to reach around 5v

Its a 2 bar, I found another 2 bar at my shop and the connectors are the same but the 3 bar is different. Crappy, :(

The holes for mounting in the 3 bar sensors that I have were to small to be mounted in the stock location on a 90' shadow so I had to drill them out to allow the stock screws to pass through. Also the 3 bar is much more rectangular shaped than the 2 bar maps. I think I actually posted a pic on here of the difference a while back. It might have even been on TD though.

I have a 2 bar GM map, ;) there rectangular, just like the 3 bars.
