Is it feasible to replace a SV without taking the head off, on an L body. I don't have power steering.

Yes, Ive done it before with the power steering pump out.

Be forwarned you may break some of the bolts. They get brittle. I guess it depends how long it has been on the turbo.

I agree that they will probly need some wiggle juice, some may break or at least squeak loudly. Good luck and get it back on the road.

Heat is your friend on those! If you can get a torch up in there without burning anything up (yourself included), try to heat the casting around each bolt to a dull red. You'll want to heat the turbine housing where the bolts thread in, not just the SV housing. If you have the room to do this, you should be able to get it apart without breaking any bolts.
