i just put a trimcal in my spirit.... of course i was not thinking and i mounted it where the traveler is, after installing the sbec and running the 2 flat cables it came with I was about 1 foot short. I went and got two rj45 connectors, then on the one trimcal connector, i trimmed down the lip so it would fit into the standard rj45 connector, I labeled this cable as "N" for notched So I know which one it goes into. then I found (2) 1 foot rj35 cat5e cables and was able to extend them so the cables were long enough to work for where I mounted it.
also, the trimcal mounted in the spirit perfectly where the traveler used to go. I miss the traveler, but I am going to move it to a different location on the console. I bought a spare one, and cut it in half, so it is just the digital stuff and not the car door/windshield wiper warning half.
